January saw a 52% increase in Brazilian exports of wood products

- In January 2022, the value of Brazilian exports of wood-based products (except pulp and paper) grew by 52% to $387.1 million in value compared to January 2021.
- Pine sawnwood exports grew by 42% to $49.8 million in January 2022 but export volumes fell by 5% to 181,200 m³.
- Tropical sawnwood exports rose by 25% to 39.000 m³ in January 2022 and export value increased 25.0% from $12.8 million to $16 million over the same period.
- In 2022, the export value for wooden furniture increased by 27% to $52.1 million.
