US hardwood exports in India reached $3 million in Q1 2023

In Q1 2023, the total value of American hardwood exports to India reached $3.247 million.

In value, the total hardwood lumber from the US to India grew by 36% to $2.142 million compared to the same period in 2022, and in volume, it grew by 68% to 3,796 m³.

The value of US hardwood veneers exports to the market grew by 38% to $77,000. 

The top 5 US hardwood types exported to India are ash (1,377 m³), white oak (722 m³), red oak (499 m³), maple (686 m³), and hickory (292 m³).
