Vietnam expects a recovery in timber exports with 7-9% growth in 2023

The Vietnam Timber and Forest Products Association expects a 7-9% to $18 billion growth in timber exports in 2023.

In 2022, the value of Vietnamese exports of timber and wood products was $16.9 billion and despite the slowdown in export growth, the forestry industry predicts a recovery in Q1 2023.

Vietnam's timber industry will focus on improving the competitiveness of domestic production by reducing wood imports, applying science and technology to boost labor productivity, accelerating the digital transformation to reduce production costs, and extending the promotion of trade at international fairs.
