Australia's Pfeifer Holding GmbH concludes acquisition of Finnish wood processor, Pölkky Oy

The purchase strengthens Pfeifer’s position as one of the leading companies in the European timber industry and equips the producer for global competition. 

Initially, the agreement was signed at the end of December 2022 but had been waiting on the competition authority’s approval, which has been secured now.

The acquisition of Pölkky will increase  Pfeifer Group's number of employees to 2,600 in 4 countries and the turnover is expected to rise to 1.4 billion euros in 2023.
