China's supply chain at high risk of bottlenecks due to soaring Covid cases

Shanghai is struggling with soaring numbers of COVID-infected people because, at present, there are 5.43 million positive cases in the city and an estimated 12.5 million infected by the end of the year.

90% of staff at China’s major ports got infected with COVID-19 as of 21 December and as a result, congestion is on the rise and the country’s supply chain may face severe problems.
