Maersk set contingency plans due to anticipated disturbances across terminals at the port of Rotterdam

Posted on December 26, 2022   |

Maersk has informed of significant disturbances across terminals at the Port of Rotterdam amid ongoing bargaining talks.

It is expecting its TA1 and TA3 services to be affected immediately as both routes connect major ports in Europe to North American terminals.

Last week, the carrier alerted of Collective Labour Agreement (CLA) talks taking place between unions and the Hutchinson Delta II and Maasvlakte II terminals.

The carrier informed port-to-port bookings that terminate at Antwerp will need another transport to reach the intended final destinations, at the customers’ cost.
