Egypt to cut customs clearance time to 2 days by 2025 to boost trade and investment

The new Head of the Egyptian Customs Authority pledged to cut customs clearance time to two days by the end of 2025.

Achieving this target will require fast on-ground implementation, full digitalization of customs processes, and integrated databases across authorities.

The Authority aims to create a more efficient, investor-friendly environment by improving service quality and simplifying procedures.

Efforts focus on supporting smoother trade flow and faster customs operations.

The Head inspected key sites including Tahya Misr terminal (Alexandria Port), Dekheila Port logistics center, joint inspection facility, and hazardous goods storage.
