Liverpool dockers Union to accept the pay offer after a months-long dispute

• The union representing dock workers at the Port of Liverpool agreed to accept an offer from the trade gateway’s operator, ending weeks of pay disputes and regular strikes.
• The deal will end weeks of strikes which saw 600 dockers walk out at various times, with the latest two-week strike ending November 7. 
• Unite previously denied increases below 12.3% as it aimed for pay rises that would keep up with the UK’s inflation rate of 10%.
