Vessel arrivals at the port of Liverpool declined due to ongoing strike action

The shipments arriving in Liverpool decreased by 55% week-over-week in the week of 11 September because shippers were avoiding the Port of Liverpool due to the strike action.
Shipments fell in the weeks of 18 and 25 September during the first strike, as well as during the 2nd week of the strike of 9 October.
During the weeks of 2 and 16 October, weekly shipments arriving at the Port of Liverpool fell by 46% and 68% respectively when compared to the beginning of August.
On 21 August, the day the first strike began, ocean shipments (including import/export/transshipment) at the Port of Felixstowe had been at the terminal for 5.4 days on average and by August 30, this figure grew by 91% to 10.3 days on average.
After the initial strike ended, average days at Felixstowe fell to 3.8 days on average, though at the beginning of the 2nd strike on 27 September, average days grew again by 139% to 9.1 days.
