February sees 4.8% decline in Canadian lumber production

Canadian lumber production fell by 4.8% in February, totaling 3,686.8 thousand cubic meters.
Compared to February 2024, production dropped 15.3% year-over-year.
Lumber shipments from Canadian sawmills declined to 3,428.6 thousand cubic meters, down 9.8% from January.
Shipments were also 18.3% lower than February 2024, indicating ongoing weakness in the market.
