State Duma Deputies increased the fine by 10 times for setting fire to the forest

State Duma deputies approved a bill tenfold increasing the number of fines for those accountable for starting forest fires and sanctions for officials and legal entities also doubled.
Fines for breach of fire safety rules in forests under Article 8.32 of the Code of Administrative Offenses will be 15-30 thousand rubles, for officials, it will be 20-40 thousand rubles, and for legal entities, it will be 100-400 thousand rubles.
For burning brushwood, forest litter, dry grass, and other forest combustible materials, breaking fire safety rules on land adjacent to forests and protective and forest plantations, changed to 30 to 40 thousand rubles, for officials, it will be 30 to 50 thousand rubles, and for legal entities, it will be between 300 to 500 thousand rubles.
For violations in the territories of the forest park green belt, the sanctions have been raised to 40to 50 thousand rubles, for officials, 40-80 thousand rubles, for legal entities, 500 thousand to 1 million rubles.
If breaches are in a special fire regime or an emergency regime, fines increase to 40-50 thousand rubles, for officials, 40-80 thousand rubles, and for legal entities, 600 thousand to 1 million rubles.
Fines will be raised for breaking fire safety rules without causing serious harm to human health, 50,000 rubles for citizens, 100,000 rubles for officials, and 1 to 2 million rubles for legal entities.
