West Fraser to reduce capacity permanently at its Hilton, Alberta pulp mill

  • Hilton Pulp has been in operation since 1956 and these changes are essential to simplify our operation and lessen capital requirements and greenhouse gas emissions.
  • The capacity reduction will decrease staffing levels, from 345 to 270 but West Fraser expects to mitigate the impact on employees through natural attrition, retirements, and offering employment opportunities at other West Fraser operations.
