- In Khorgos, 2 out of 3 cranes operating at the Altynkol transshipment terminal broke down, producing widespread delays and schedule changes.
- As a result, two-to-three train batches are unable to load on time every day and the transport schedules for November will be suspended.
- China Railway cut slots for the 2nd half of October to avoid more delays but for now, China Railway was holding 23 trains at Alashankou, 33 at Khorgos, 13 at Erenhot, 16 at Manzhouli, and 1 at Suifenhe, which can lead to massive congestion.
