Massive fire breaks out in Bangladesh's container depot, killing 49 people

• Police and firefighters tried to extinguish the fire over the weekend, but over 300 people were injured as the container filled with chemicals was exploding due to the fire.
• 9 firefighters were dead, and the death toll will rise as some of the injured are in critical condition and many people are still missing.
• The BM Container Depot, located near Chittagong away 40 km and has been operating since 2011. 
• The depot’s authorities will provide $11,200 in compensation to each family of the workers who died in the fire, and also pledged to pay between $4,500 and $6,700 to other injured workers.
